Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit
18.06 - 07.08.2016

I WRITE YOU A LOT. is the first solo exhibition from Bangkok based director/screenwriter Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit. Thamrongrattanarit has always explored new structures of narratives in cinema; he champions in making the ordinary extraordinary and creating films that inspects and questions current social norms and their rules of behaviors (often through the eyes of Thai urban youth). In this show, Thamrongrattanarit explores a new form of storytelling through alternative mediums, and audiences are able to experience his narratives in a new format, from the snap photos that he has collected in the past years during his travels, live script writing performances to a fictional never-been-told history of the gallery.

Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit (b.1984, Bangkok) started making films during his years in the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University. He has made notable experimental short films and documentaries including Bangkok Tanks (2006), See (2006), Fran├žais (2009), and Cherie is Korean-Thai (2010).
