KORNKRIT JIANPINIDNAN

Project Sensibility

24 October–29 November 2015

Project Sensibility started from the artist’s observations on the human quality of being able to appreciate and emotionally respond to iconic aesthetic images.  This ability is projected through Kornkrit Jianpinidnan’s strange, dramatic and novel images.  His picture series REALITYVISUAL PLEASUREOBJECT OF DESIRE and VIRTUAL MULTIPLICATION are displayed within the main walls of the gallery, intimating the perception of visual culture and occupying the space of similar visually pleasing photography that came before them.  Jianpinidnan simultaneously interrogates this space and questions its ruling technological framework that’s governed by unconscious systems of human desire.
