(in Thai with English summary)
Sunday January 27, 2019 14:00 – 17:00 hrs.
An epilogue of the exhibition This page is intentionally left blank is a return to the origin of the artist’s intention. A dialogue between the artist and the curator as well as the publication launch take place on the last day of the exhibition instead of the first day, because we believe that viewers’ engagement with contemporary art should not be strictly controlled by the intentions of those involved in exhibition making. Words and traces of ideas are left in the exhibition space as clues for viewers to interpret artistic objects by themselves. Meaning of art multiplies. Some interpretation may correspond with the artist’s intentional meaning, some may be in conflict and some may lead in totally different directions. The openness of contemporary art for interpretative engagement lies in its capacity for initiating conversation between art and viewers, between artists and viewers, between curator and viewers and among viewers themselves.
The artist and curator talk is moderated by Krommatorn Saritthiboon, a third-year student from the Department of Art History, Faculty of Archaeology, Silpakorn University and a participant in ‘Tracing the Dots’.
