BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY seeks excellence, supports the emerging, and encourages potential. Believing in no hierarchy of all artistic forms and ideas, the gallery serves multiple objectives of art as advocacy.
The dedicated exhibition-making is distinguished by engaged conversations and researches rooted in the characteristic iteration of preeminent artists. Not only serving as an exhibition space, the gallery is determined to propose new concepts, subjectivities, and social imaginaries through collaborations. Aspiring to support the spirit of youth, the gallery also encourages young practitioners to realize their own capacities in the long term. In addition to exhibition-making, BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY also celebrates and collaborates with artists whose practices involve the time-honored method of printing.
Founded by Akapol Op Sudasna and Supamas Phahulo in 2015, BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY has fused conversations, communities, and cultural plurality into a hybrid of project space and commercial gallery situated in the heart of Bangkok city.
BANGKOK ART BOOK FAIR
Initiated by STUDIO150 in partnership with BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY since 2017, BANGKOK ART BOOK FAIR (BKKABF) is an event aimed to bring together self-oublishing and co-creating community to contribute in discovering and exchanging ideas, cultural ideals, and artistic aspirations.
Ghost
Initiated by Korakrit Arunanondchai and Akapol Op Sudasna, Ghost Foundation’s mission is to create a platform and foster a community for video and performance art in Thailand. By organizing the Ghost series and related activities, the foundation is committed to information accessibility and knowledge production.
BOOKSHOP LIBRARY
BOOKSHOP LIBRARY is a hybrid-functioned space located at the front gallery of BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY. It is an experimental inquiry on the role and functionality of both bookshops and libraries in an urban space, with a strong will in presenting variety and specialty in forms of publications. The initiative is initiated by BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY running from 2019-mid 2025.
MUSIC PROJECT
As a contemporary art space in Bangkok, BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY is dedicated to expanding the boundaries of artistic expression by integrating sound as a vital medium. Launching MUSIC PROJECT to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, using sound as both an artistic and political tool.
