BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY is delighted to invite you to THE LAST COPY IS FOR READING HERE the inaugural exhibition and official opening of BANGKOK CITYCITY BOOKSHOP.

The title of the exhibition THE LAST COPY IS FOR READING HERE draws from a sentence that often heard at BANGKOK CITYCITY BOOKSHOP since its soft launch in July 2019. BANGKOK CITYCITY BOOKSHOP combines the concept of an independent bookstore and public library, it sells all multiple copies until the last remaining copy that is kept as library archive used to share with public readers and visitors. By saying that THE LAST COPY IS FOR READING HERE sometimes opens conversation to discuss the role of a library in a contemporary setting and leads to diverse interests through the book medium.

THE LAST COPY IS FOR READING HERE introduces publishing projects from independent publishers, publishing houses and institutions with shared thinking about current topics. Featuring [Bookmark] project by Napisa Leelasuphapong and Kantida Busaba presenting conversations in the form of bookmark containing exchanges of conversations from one book to another, thus creating routes that form a temporary classification of books in the BANGKOK CITYCITY BOOKSHOP collection.

BANGKOK CITYCITY BOOKSHOP consists of bookstore, library and exhibition integrated in a single space. Located in the front gallery of BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY.
