Come and join the informal talk by independent curator Christina Li where she speaks about her practice that lies in the intersection of narrative and artistic processes. Ahead of the upcoming edition of ‘Ghost 2565: Live Without Dead Time’ (October 12 – November 13, 2022), she will share a selection of her past curatorial projects which may give insight to what may be in store this fall. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
– The discussion will be conducted in Thai and English.
– Free of charge and no seat reservation in advance needed.
– The event will be held at BOOKSHOP LIBRARY, a small building of the BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY.
About Christina Li
Christina Li is a curator and writer who works between Hong Kong and Amsterdam. As director of Spring Workshop, Hong Kong (2015–17) she curated projects such as ‘A Collective Present’ (2017), ‘Wu Tsang: Duilian’ (2016), and ‘Wong Wai Yin: Without Trying’ (2016). She is the curator of the forthcoming edition of ‘Ghost:2565 Live Without Dead Time’ in Bangkok. Her recent shows include ‘Pilvi Takala: Close Watch’, Pavilion of Finland at the 59th Venice Biennale (2022), ‘Xinyi Cheng: Seen Through Others’, Lafayette Anticipations, Paris (2022); ‘…pausing barely, barely pausing…’, A Tale of A Tub, Rotterdam (2021); ‘Palms, Palms, Palms’, Z33, Hasselt (2020); ‘Shirley Tse: Stakeholders’, Hong Kong in Venice, Hong Kong’s presence at the 58th Venice Biennale (2019); and ‘Dismantling the Scaffold’, Tai Kwun Contemporary, Hong Kong (2018). Li’s writing appears in Artforum, Art Review Asia, LEAP, Parkett, Spike, and Yishu Journal of Contemporary Art among others.
