Orawan Arunrak’s work arises from everyday life and experiences across different places, observing small moments often overlooked. She works with drawing, painting, text, performance, sound, and video to explore the relationships between people, languages, and spaces, and how cultural memory and daily rituals persist across time and place. Her installations create situations for shared presence and attentive engagement, where time spent with materials, spaces, and participants becomes a form of mutual observation and understanding. Repeatedly crossing national, cultural, and spiritual borders, Arunrak’s work investigates the overlapping of likeness and difference within and between locations in Asia and Europe, shaped by her experiences and relationships in these places.
